- To love youth where they are,
- To encourage them in developing their relationship to God,
- To provide them with opportunities for nurture and growth, and
- To challenge them to respond to God's call to serve in their communities

At Glenview United Methodist Church, we meet this responsibility for youth ministry through a balance of spiritual growth, fellowship, mission and community outreach. All youth are encouraged to find ways to participate in the life and mission of the church. This can include:
- Attending youth Sunday school classes
- Being an usher or lay reader for worship
- Attending Sunday youth group (GUMY)
- Serving on church committees
- Helping with lunch at Glenview Senior Center
- Raising money/food for food local food pantries
- Serving on the week long Appalachia Service Project
