The parish nurse program promotes the holistic health and well-being of the congregation, taking into consideration the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each individual. The parish nurse offers health and healthcare resources and referrals; hospital, nursing home, and in-home calls; and prayer and presence in times of joy and sorrow. She also facilitates fellowship and support groups for:

• Widowed and single individuals
• Those living with cancer or other long-term illnesses
• Breast cancer survivors
• Senior citizens
